Director´s statement:
"When I met Gérôme the first time back in 2011, I immediately was mesmerised by her joyful, provocative, rebellious take on life. I felt like I had met the grown up Pippi Longstocking. I started filming her shows just out of pure joy and for my own amusement. Now more than ten years later, I am proud to say that not only can it be shown to the rest of the world via this film, but that I also learnt to sing some of the hit songs by Hildegard Knef. Through my meetings with Gérôme, I managed to make my life so much funnier, and I am her forever grateful for that."
