Atonement

When a woman is about to die, she has to transcend from the living to the dead. At the Gates of Hell, the Watchdog of the Underworld makes sure that she cannot cross over before she understands the meaning of her life.

Her protector, the boxer, is fighting for her to be able to stay long enough for her to reach a state of absolution. She journeys through parallel dimensions where the physical, mental and spiritual worlds become one.

Moments before her death, she reaches a state of innocence and she is able to make the leap.
